With over 20 years of experience behind the lens Micheal’s ability to capture wildlife in their natural habitat is unprecedented.

Magazines, newspapers, and corporation media the world over have graced their pages with some of Mike’s stunning images. Michaels’s images are reflective of his passion for promoting a true understanding of the animal world. He seeks to break down these barriers by educating viewers through his lens.

Drawing on his biology background, patience and countless hours of observation, Michael can anticipate the animal’s behavior, not disturbing them or evoking an artificial action, allowing them instead to reveal their true character. Vital to portraying the animal in an unstated environment and intent on keeping the focus on the animal itself, edits and image manipulation are limited to bare minimum. Using nature’s own palette, nature’s light, Michael keeps it simple and pure, letting the environment compose it’s own setting.

Point of view

I began my career behind the lens of a still camera and have been expanding my passion and profession into video as well as still. Living in Colorado and Alaska has afforded me a robust playground to hone my craft. I truly hope to inspire and educate on the great outdoors through my photography.
